wolff white syndrome :: Article Creator Stopping The Bias Snowball, Before It Kills Your Patient I arrived on scene perhaps ten minutes behind the first-in crew and the shift supervisor. Both the crew paramedic and the supervisor were knowledgeable, experienced providers. A school nurse was there as well, providing background info on our patient; a 16-year-old student with a history of asthma in severe distress. Our patient was in bad shape. Cheng‑Wei Huang, M.D., from Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, and colleagues assessed whether widespread CAD testing in patients with new-onset heart failure leads to improved outcomes. The analysis included 2,729 adults with new-onset heart failure with reduced ejection fraction hospitalized within one of 15 Kaiser Permanente Southern California medical centers between 2016 and 2021. The researchers found that 54.5 percent of patients received CAD testing, and after a median of 1.8 years, the testing group had a reduced risk for heart f...

Ravi Savarirayan, M.D., from the Royal Children's Hospital at the University of Melbourne in Australia, and colleagues conducted a double-blind, randomized phase 2 trial in 16 hospitals across Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States to examine the safety and efficacy of vosoritide in children younger than 60 months with a clinical diagnosis of achondroplasia confirmed by genetic testing. Participants were enrolled into three cohorts based on age at screening: 24 to 59 months, 6 to 23 months, and 0 to 5 months (cohorts 1,...
