A: Main Line Today employs an annual peer-to-peer balloting system that determines the cream of the crop in each profession. Among the thousands of qualified professionals nominated via online balloting, less than 10% are selected.
Q: CAN A DOCTOR OR DENTIST PAY TO BE ON THE LIST?
A: Never. Main Line Today receives no compensation from health systems, firms or any other source in exchange for placement on lists.
Q: WHY DIDN'T MY DOCTOR OR DENTIST MAKE THE LIST?
A: The same professionals don't always vote, and results vary each year.
Q: HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE SPECIALTIES ON THE LIST?
A: We consult with healthcare practitioners for their recommendations. There are areas such as podiatry and chiropractic that aren't included, because they aren't technically physicians.
Q: DO YOU VERIFY ALL DOCTORS AND DENTISTS ON THE LIST?
A: Yes. All voters and nominees are vetted using the appropriate state licensure resources, and fact-checkers are hired to confirm practice information. Every effort is made to collaborate with healthcare systems and employers during validation process.
